Scientist (Organic Ooptoelectronics), IMRE

The PROFESS Lab is looking to hire a research scientist in the area of organic optoelectronics ? in particular for optical spectroscopic characterization of materials, device fabrication and device physics. The project is funded by a grant awarded to the Principal Investigator (Dr. Le Yang)<br><br>We are looking for a passionate and capable individual to work on organic optoelectronics photophysics and devices:<br><br><ul><li> Be able to help setup and fine-tune transient and steady-state spectroscopic characterization tools </li><li> Regularly perform spectroscopic characterization and analysis. </li><li> Regularly prepare samples in wet lab (solutions and thin films); be familiar with common chemicals. Regular use of glovebox is required. </li><li> Organic optoelectronic device fabrication and optimization, including device characterization and device physic </li><li> Be motivated for intellectual output eg publications and idea generation. </li><li> Be a team player and foster cohesive and collaborative environment </li><li> Be able to supervise short-term attachment students at time. <br><br></li></ul>Job Requirements:<br><br><ul><li> Ph.D in Physics (including polymer chemistry/physics) or Materials Science and Engineering, or equivalent/related fields.</li><li> Optical spectroscopy and studying of material photophysics </li><li> Good understanding of organic semiconductors and optoelectronics. </li><li> Good with detailed hands-on work in wet-lab, eg use of glovebox on a daily basis. </li><li> Basic knowledge of organic semiconductors.</li></ul>
